MEET OUR PASTORS
Pastors Joseph & Ruth Nieves became the Lead Pastors of Transformation Church on May 3, 2009. Together they bring passion, vision, and leadership to our church and community. Joe and Ruth were married in June 1997, and have two boys, Joey (17), Josiah (11), and Seth who went to be with Jesus on April 10, 2004.
Prior to entering Bible College, Joe had dreams and aspirations of being a New York State Trooper. He earned an Associates Degree in Police Science from Orange County Community College, Middletown, NY, and attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. After a radical experience with God at Times Square Church in New York City, God changed the course of his life and he answered the call to ministry. Central to living a healthy life is recognizing that God is God and we are not. Only God is unlimited. Life works best when we live within our limits and recognize that limits are a gift from God. During this and the next few Sunday’s message series Pastor Joe will explore how life flourishes when we recognize the limits of our time, money, and energy.
There are times when life is overwhelming, when all we have is questions. In those moments, hope can feel far away. The great thing about prayer is that it shifts our perspective toward the One who stands ready to listen. No matter what you’re facing, we’d love to pray with you!
